A Better Bay Point is the official website of Residents for a Better Bay Point. Residents for a Better Bay Point is a group of local leaders seeking to make Bay Point a better community to live, play and work in.

Watch out for those who give misinformation as truth as a way to keep Bay Point from becoming an even better community.

Bay Point has grown and improved over the past 5-10 years but is now seeing local pressure to change and improve even more. As an unincorporated community of Contra Costa County we have no chance of gaining more local control as even our once elected Municipal Advisory Council is now appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. A move the current Supervisor did to stop voter input in local issues.

Residents for a Better Bay Point has been looking at many ways to change the community including incorporation as a city, creating a new community services district and finally what if we annexed the entire community of Bay Point into the City of Pittsburg, while retaining our community name and identity.

Given the location of Bay Point between Concord and Pittsburg, located on Highway 4 with views of the Delta and a possible site for a modern deep berth marina we are the community to be. Bay Point cannot sit back and be cherry picked for only its best locations, it must be kept whole and together move forward with our future assured.

As Concord takes on the Naval Weapon Station our community will become even more sought after. We have to stop the county from putting all their Low Income housing in Bay Point. Let them put some in Alamo, Danville and San Ramon.
